AND Celebrating Caledonia’s 200th Anniversary in full Scottish Heritage Style

Vendors Open at 9 AM – 4 PM in the Caledonia Village Park
Scottish themed parade down Main Street – 9 AM

Come stroll, shop a vintage inspired indoor/outdoor market with antiques, retro, repurposed, shabby chic, home décor, original art, artisans, homemade treasurers, jewelry, plants, and sangria tasting, yummy foods, AND help the Village of Caledonia celebrate its 200th birthday!
Founded in May 1819 by Scotsman Alexander Craighead, Caledonia will offer a taste of Scottish heritage; starting with a Scottish themed parade down Main Street at 9AM, led by the local Veterans and members of the Scottish-American Military Society with bagpipes; the day will feature Scottish Clan tents, a traditional Calling of the Clans events, the Claddagh Dancers, Scottish vendors with merchandise straight from Scotland and demonstrations explaining tartan history and Scottish terminology. The Village will recognize the representatives of the founding families of the village and will be honored to have H.M. Honorary Consul to Missouri for the United Kingdom Mark Sutherland. Mr. Sutherland was born in Scotland and represents the U.K. here in the states.

With the surprise support of a very generous donation and connection with traveling musical shows, the Caledonia Bicentennial Committee was offered a free, one-hour concert by the Farnum Family.

Based out of the Missouri Ozarks, the Farnum Family performs in the Branson area and around the country. For many years, their blend of traditional Americans, Bluegrass, Gospel, Western & folk music and entertainment has delighted audiences – performing duets to featuring the entire family!

Their family friendly touring band has taken their energetic blend of music, entertainment and homespun family humor all the way from Cody, Wyoming to the Texas Rio Grande, as well as throughout Missouri and much of the Midwest.

The Farnum Family has appeared at many music festivals, Bluegrass festivals, for 13 years at Silver Dollar City and are scheduled to perform for the National Craft & Cowboy Festival this fall. As a band and individually they have received both instrumental awards and vocal recognition.

Come to the 4th Annual Antique & Vintage Market, help us celebrate Caledonia’s 200 years and enjoy some good old fashion family entertainment.
